Looking for some easy recipes for celebrating Labor Day with family and friends? I can’t believe how fast the month of August flew by and it’s already time to start planning for a Labor Day 3-day weekend. Moms, if you need some easy meal planning ideas for your Labor Day picnic or backyard barbecue, I’ve got lots of recipes that are simple and should help you out. We may be saying  good-bye to summer, but think of all the fun you’ve had together with family and friends, and I encourage your family to make more sweet family memories this weekend.

Appetizers

Appetizers for our Labor Day are always going to be simple, affordable and have lots of flavor. Those of you who have followed along with my recipes will be familiar with my go-to favorites below, including this recipe for Bread Bowl Artichoke Dip. A rich, creamy and flavorful taste in every bite.

Main Dishes

Main dishes for your Labor Day get together need to be easy, and keep you out of the kitchen so you can spend more time celebrating with your family and friends.  We’ve been doing some renovations out back and have our bbq station set up so I’ll be outback using the grill. I don’t miss out on any of the fun going on outdoors. Another option that will keep your hands-on cook time to a minimum is using your crock pot.

Side Dishes

Desserts

Desserts to celebrate this all-American holiday can be as traditional, easy and simple as a homemade apple pie or a blueberry pie. (Not nearly as hard as you think!) You can also keep it super simple with ice cream topped with fresh berries (in season and on sale).

My brother-in-law is having a bbq and we have been chosen to bring the vegetable. I am making a grilled bean salad and a traditional Lebanese salad.

    These look yummy though.

YUM, if I wasn’t planning on some good stuff here also I’d be on my way down. Freeze some and send it up to me? lol

Isn’t it amazing how gourmet a dip in a bread bowl becomes. Something so easy just makes a party out of it.
