Weekly Meal Planning requires a small investment of time, but can reap great rewards.
We’re on week two of our cooking from the pantry challenge. I’ve created a lot of from scratch recipes using simple pantry staples like flour, sugar, and miscellaneous baking spices to make some really delicious breakfasts and fruit butters.
This week’s menu is focusing not only on ingredients on hand but fast and frugal weeknight meals. This week, we plan on starting the family exercises back up. Yes, with summer we tend to slack off a bit. In the early evening after dinner, we’ll do our family walk. A family walk after dinner not only aids your digestion, it’s quality time and slips in some exercise at the end of a busy day.

Need ideas for your weekly meal plan? It’s time for another weekly menu. I enjoy menu planning because of the simplicity it provides for my life. It enables me to decrease my grocery shopping excursions to twice a month and it allows me to have more free time to focus on my family and home. Sunday: Vegetable Chow Mein
Monday: Grilled Chicken Pesto Pasta, Garlic Bread
Tuesday: Turkey burgers with brown rice and veggies
Wednesday: Chila Quiles (traditional Mexican dish, new recipe)
Thursday: Cobb Salad, Bread
Friday: Pizza Night! Homemade Pizza on Homemade Pizza Dough, Breadsticks and Salad.
Saturday: Hot August Nights, Reno- Dinner out with family
