Hi friends! Happy Monday! How was your weekend? We spent an adventurous beautiful two days working outdoors in the yard and doing some redesigning to our landscaping. Now that the house is officially ours, we can pretty much do whatever we want. With that being said, it’s always good to stay hydrated especially when you’re working in the sun. Sometimes in the afternoon, if I feel myself craving caffeine and I want something other than coffee, I resort to my favorite teas for afternoon and evening. Besides drinking my Shakeology, instead of always going for the soda, energy drinks, coffee (especially in the summer when it’s so hot!), I’ve tried some other things that work well for me.
My Favorite Teas For Afternoon and Evening
I also like to drink tea. Specifically green tea. While it does have caffeine, it is also loaded with lots of nutrients and antioxidants. The great thing about green tea is you can naturally add flavors to it without having the need to add in lots of sugar. Artificial sweeteners are a good choice, but infusing it with fresh fruit, like strawberries, blackberries, mangoes, etc. especially in the summer, is very refreshing! It will also help keep you from mindlessly eating or filling your body with unneeded calories in the afternoon. Another tea I like, especially in the evening is the classic sleepytime tea. With a blend of chamomile, spearmint and lemongrass, it’s great after a long day to help me wind down my day and relaxing those muscles in my body helping me sleep better at night.
