Getting Older Is A Lovely Thing

Not!!!! Maybe certain aspects of getting older, but honestly, I could truly do without the body aches in the morning when I get up. Whine, Whine, but I’m not one that goes to the doctor for every little ache and pain. I’m stubborn and will wait till I’m on my last breathe before I see a doctor.  For the last month, I’ve been dealing with possibly a pinched nerve/sciatica on my left side radiating from my hip down to the back of my knee. I noticed this shortly after we moved the store to its new location. I must have moved my body the wrong way in all the chaos of moving. I’ve been trying to pamper it with ice, heat packs and muscle creams to no avail. Which in turn, makes my morning workouts and my weekly walks a little more challenging. But I haven’t given up on them. I’ve just modified them a bit.

When I re-created the blog just a few short months ago, it was to have a place to record my trials and successes with my health and fitness journey, which in theory is a large part of my life now.

So here I am…sharing. Is anyone reading my trials and successes? Maybe, Maybe not. But I’m still holding myself accountable in every way. 

On a positive note for me, I’ve dropped a jean size!! Yes, this is a great thing. It means I’m another step closer to my goal. Will I stop there? No, I will keep on going.

As we move forward into the month, I have lots of goals I plan on checking off my list and I’m excited about my Break A Habit 21 Day Fix Challenge Group starting on Monday the 12th. If you’d like to join me, shoot me an email message or comment below. Even the hubby is looking forward to getting back on track and joining me. The group provides support and accountability to help one another maximize results and meet their fitness goals… and it’s fun!

I’ve even decided to step out of my comfort zone a bit further and start up a local fitness meetup group to meet others in my community who are interested in getting on track with their health and fitness goals. More Details later.
