Yesterday, I joined Finding Joy in My Kitchen and lots of other bloggers in the Countdown to 2013 by highlighting some of our family’s best recipes of 2012. In case you missed it, our first topic was our family’s best breakfast recipes of 2012. I’m also sharing them on my Pinterest board Best Family Recipes of 2012. Today’s topic: Soups and/or Breads!
Every month during the winter, I make my family a huge pot of soup along with some warm homemade bread right out of the oven. There’s nothing like a warm bowl of homemade soup to comfort you. The great thing about soups, is that you can make a huge pot and freeze the leftovers in family portions for another meal or save some leftovers for lunch. I utilize my bread machine a lot to help me mix up the bread dough. This frees up my hands to tackle other tasks in the kitchen or around the house.
I had fun going through our family recipes, so I hope you enjoy
