Weekly Meal Plan December 2-8, 2012

Plan your weekly menu’s in advance to save you time, money and stress this busy holiday season. You’ll be amazed at how easy meal planning can be.

December has officially begun. Usually this time of year, I’m not looking forward to how fast the time flies by. This year, however, I’m looking at it with full anticipation. Maybe it’s because our Christmas holiday shopping is done. Or maybe it’s truly because we are going on our first “real” family vacation in many years. And, we are going down to see our eldest son in LA. The trip is still a surprise Christmas gift for the two younger kids. I’m looking forward to their surprised faces on Christmas day when they each open their last Christmas present and out pops Mickey and Minnie with fun greetings telling them they will be celebrating the upcoming new year at Disneyland. It’s been really hard keeping this trip a secret for the past 7 months telling them only that we’ll be visiting big brother for New Years. I truly can’t wait!

With the holiday season in full swing, I’m really looking forward to gathering around the family table and sharing a lot of those traditional family favorite holiday meals. This weekend, I’m reviewing my freezer inventory and plotting out my weekly meal plan. Thanks to my previous weekend’s cooking session, it really helped to stock my freezer so I have lots to work with.

If you’re having doubts on how to tackle a meal plan, head on over here for the inside scoop. And yes, I’ve decided to bring back and share Friday Family Favorites. It will return soon. I promise.

You’ll find the recipes on the weekly meal plan also available on my Recipe Index page with a grocery list included.
