I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I enjoyed a week off spending time with family and preparing the house for our upcoming family holiday decorating and cookie making weekend. This Thanksgiving holiday, we were so kindly blessed with two days of great food, time with family, laughter and fun. On Thanksgiving day, we drove to Carson City to celebrate a lovely Thanksgiving days with the in-laws and family; then on Saturday I spent a few hours in the kitchen cooking up and sharing some of the family traditions I want to pass down to our kids. With plenty of leftovers, the turkey meat has been picked from the bone and stored in an airtight container for future meals such as turkey and cranberry sandwiches, fiesta turkey tortilla soup and if there’s anything left some turkey enchiladas for the freezer.
Here’s our plan for the week.

Need ideas for your weekly meal plan? It’s time for another weekly menu. I enjoy menu planning because of the simplicity it provides for my life. It enables me to decrease my grocery shopping excursions to twice a month and it allows me to have more free time to focus on my family and home. For ideas in the weekly meal plan, we’ll be focusing on a variety of family meals. You’ll find the recipes on the weekly meal plan also available on my Recipe Index page with a grocery list included.
