Weekly Meal Plan September 16-22, 2012

Happy Wednesday my friends! I can’t believe how fast my weekend and now my week is flying by. And, the whole month of September for that matter. Yesterday, I noticed it wasn’t as bright in the morning when waking up. It’s starting to look like Fall is creeping up on us and before you know it the holidays. I started working on my menu early Monday morning because I took some time for myself over the weekend to relax, enjoy the family and read a good book. Then, later, I started to jump in and start working on ideas and map out a plan for teaching some local cooking classes in my community. I really excited about this and can’t wait to share more details with all of you in the near future!

But in the meantime, here’s what’s going on with this week’s weekly menu:


 

My weekly meal plan and shopping list is completed and posted on our fridge:

Breakfast options:

Pancakes, English Muffins, Fruit n’ juice breakfast shake, Homemade Greek Yogurt, cereal, toast, eggs, and/or fresh fruit

Lunch options:

Sub Sandwiches, Pizza bagels, leftovers, protein shakes, salad, fresh cut veggies and/or fruit

Suppers Your Family Will Love

Need ideas for your weekly meal plan? It’s time for another weekly menu.  I enjoy menu planning because of  the simplicity it provides for my life. It enables me to decrease my grocery shopping excursions to twice a month and it allows me to  have more free time to focus on my family and home. For ideas in the weekly meal plan, we’ll be focusing on a variety of family meals. Dinner (recipes will post throughout the week)

Sunday: Chicken Fajitas, Sweet Corn Cakes (inspired by Chevy’s Mexican Restaurant)

Monday: Breakfast For Dinner – Homemade Sausage and Egg McGriddles, Skillet Fried Potatoes, Watermelon slices

Tuesday: Taco Mac and Cheese

Wednesday: Mom’s Shepherd’s Pie

Thursday: Baked Chicken Nuggets with Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce, Mac & Cheese, Fruit

Friday: Family Favorites Night ~Movie Night~ Crock Pot Mexican Lasagna

Saturday: Kung Pao Chicken with Rice
