Weekly Meal Plan June 24-30, 2012

I planned our weekly menu this week keeping in mind our $150 week grocery budget. Since I don’t go shopping every two weeks, I set aside a $300 minimum for our grocery budget over the next two weeks. However, with a little extra planning and my Master Meal Planning List, I’ll be able to stretch our groceries even farther than two weeks. Today, it’s Baking and Make Ahead Prep Day. Here’s what I’ve got planned:

  • Homemade Pizza Dough~ goes into freezer

  • Slice and Bake Sugar Cookies~recipe posting soon!
  • Make Ahead Freezer Mashed Potatoes~recipe posting soon!
  • Sausage Patties for Homemade Breakfast Sandwiches~using Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits
  • Frugal Homemade Ice Cream

Suppers Your Family Will Love

Need ideas for your weekly meal plan? It’s time for another weekly menu.  I enjoy menu planning because of  the simplicity it provides for my life. It enables me to decrease my grocery shopping excursions to twice a month and it allows me to  have more free time to focus on my family and home. For ideas in the weekly meal plan, we’ll be focusing on a variety of family meals. Dinner (recipes will post throughout the week)

Sunday: Cheesy Baked Chicken Breasts and  Make Ahead Freezer Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans, Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits

Monday: Hawaiian Turkey Burgers 

Tuesday: Baked Ziti, Tomato Gravy and Meatballs, Garden Salad

Wednesday: Crock Pot Roasted Chicken

Thursday: Leftovers

Friday: Pizza Night! Homemade Pizza Dough with Homemade Pizza Sauce

Saturday: Chicken Lettuce Wraps using Homemade Tortillas
