Ahhh…Summer vacation is finally here…we love Summer! But with Summer here, comes a bit of a busier schedule! We start having swim parties and sleepovers, canning and cooking classes, 4-H fair entry for poultry, trips to the lake and camping trips and all this won’t stop until the end of July.With all these activities going on, we now we need to be a little more organized with our family meals.
On Monday, I shared our recipe for Homemade Italian Meatballs, it’s one of our family’s favorite budget friendly recipes. Lots of flavor! It’s really easy to whip up a batch or even a double batch, cook and freeze them, and have the Meatballs ready to go whenever you need them.
Italian Meatball Sub Sandwiches
Serves: 4 to 6
Homemade Itlalian Meatballs
Mozzarella Cheese Slices
Quick Pizza or Pasta Sauce
Rolls or Buns
Cook up a batch of Homemade Italian Meatballs
Warm the quick pizza or pasta sauce
Place a layer of mozzarella cheese on the bottom of the bun, add some sauce, meatballs and more cheese
Place on a cookie sheet and warm in a 350 degree oven for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted
