Busy Moms Share Your Frugal Kitchen Tips

I would really LOVE to hear your frugal kitchen “secrets” … can you please leave a comment sharing one of your favorite frugal kitchen tips? If you want, you can post the link to something you’ve already shared on your blog and I’ll stop by to visit you! Now is the time for all of us to join together and help each other save as much money and time in the kitchen as we can each month!

My tip for today is to never stop trying to learn new ways to save money and time in the kitchen! If you cook one of my Make-Ahead Dishes in advance on a weekend, when you have a little extra time, there’s nothing left to do on a weeknight but pull it out of the fridge and heat it up.  And it’s delicious!  Learn from what works for other people … give it a try … you never know – you may find a new way to save a few bucks this week!

I like to bake potatoes to make mashed potatoes and then use the skins for another meal of potato skins……rebaked with cheese, bacon……and I sometimes save the skins from boiled non-russet potatoes to form the “shell” for individual quiches……fiber!

  5. Sounds delicious! I would love the recipe for the pie shell to try. Great job on using one ingredient in a few different dishes for the week!
