Monthly Meal Planning For Moms is the right thing for a hardworking mom such as you. It’s Good News for mothers who are always on the go or spend too much time running around the household. It takes less time to prepare your meals at home if have your meals planned out. Creating a menu plan will become a regular habit in your household.

Meal Plans For Moms On The Go

Busy Moms are pressed for time between holding down a job, running the kids to school, sports functions, getting to parent-teacher meetings, doing volunteer work, keeping up with the household finances and maintaining a relationship with our spouses. What we need more than anything is a meal to put on the table that is nutritious, good-tasting, and fast.

Cooking can be Great Fun!

Simple Family Meals

 Creating a monthly or even a two-week menu plan for your family meals will also give you an opportunity to be creative, try new things in your recipes, and definitely put your personality into what you make. Between the internet, cookbooks, Food Network and the grocery store offering a variety of organic and exoctic foods together with the conveniences of today’s kitchens at our fingertips, we can prepare a meal for our families that would pass at a four-star restaurant. How exciting is that?

One of the things I’ve learned in my years as a mother and cook sharing with others is how creating a theme for your meal can make it even better. It also can teach your children about the different cultures of foods and where that type of meal was originally created.

Weekday Cooking Themes:

  • Mondays: Mexican
  • Tuesdays: Italian(some type of pasta)
  • Wednesday: Asian (my son’s favorite night)
  • Thursday: Slow Cooker(most likely will be using leftover ingredients from Wednesday’s meal)
  • Friday: Family Pizza Night, kids make dessert
  • Saturday: Try a New Dish
  • Sunday: Quick and Easy 

Here is the start of my first week. I’ll be adding more as the week goes on so check back.

Week One

Monday, January 11 Chicken Enchiladas, beans and rice

Tuesday, January 12- Smoked Brats, Spinach & Cheese Pasta Bake

Wednesday, January 13- Oriental Ramen Chicken or Apricot Honey-Glaze Chicken Stir Fry

Thursday, January 14Crock PotVegetable Soup

Friday, January 15-Family Fun Night pizza, salad, dessert (kids make ice cream sandwiches) 

Saturday, January 16- Black Beans Chicken Wrap

Sunday, January 17- Twice Baked Potatoes

All of my recipes are quick, easy and a lot of the time made ahead and I am able to freeze them to incorporate into the next weeks meal, etc. I generally plan my meals to go along with the meats that are on sale at the grocery store.
