Weekly Menu, Grocery List and Recipes:Thanksgiving Week Menu Plan

Posted on 19 November 2011 by noelskitchen

How’s your up coming weekly menu coming along?

If there’s any week that’s crazy, it’s the one coming up. Interesting enough, I don’t feel stressed at all.  We are having a quite Thanksgiving at home this year. Which is really nice. Thanksgiving dinner is something that I’ve always loved to do. I’m planning on doing as much as I can in advance so that we can spend more time socializing as a family on Thanksgiving day. :)

Which is why I thought gearing away from the regular monthly meal plan for just this week. We don’t usually stick with the same meals for Thanksgiving week because we have turkey, a variety of side dishes, desserts and plenty of leftovers at the end of the week, which is pretty heavy stuff. So the beginning of the week is pretty simple stuff. I hope you’ll be pleased with the menu. I’m posting the menu for Noel’s Family Meals Premium Members sooner than normal to help you get a head start on shopping and preparing for the upcoming Thanksgiving week. (If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at noelskitchen@gmail.com. I respond to e-mails within a 24 hours. If it’s of an urgent matter, please write urgent in the subject line and I’ll do my best to respond quickly.

Some things to keep in mind:

When you go shopping, make it easy on yourself. If at all possible, go shopping during off hours, without children if you can and not hungry, remember everyone else wants their turkey dinner too. Shop at a store your’re familiar with, so you’re in and out as quickly as possible. And don’t forget the list!

Plan the table-are you using lines? Do they need pressing? Press them now and hang them or fold them for later. Nothing is worse than starching a tablecloth an hour before your guests are due to arrive. What about your centerpiece and other decor?

Double check your serving pieces and serving utensils against your menu. Do you have all the serving pieces you need, etc? DON’T do it the day of! You have other important things to think about. Ok, let’s get to it. I’ve created a plan. The shopping list is done for you. Go through it, double check what you may already have on hand in your pantry then head to the grocery store.

And Remember, the original menu will always be available in the Tools and Resources option in your Premium Family Meals Tools section of your Member Dashboard to refer back to.  You’ll also find the most recent information and updates on the Home page under Noel’s Family Meals.
