Good Morning! Happy Blessed Sunday!  I am updating you on a NEW challenge that I’ve committed to for myself. I wanted to write about it to you all, to hold me accountable. I’ve slacked off on blogging, my routine and haven’t done the most important -personal development.  It’s been a roller coaster ride of emotions with the business and some days are good and some days are bad. The store we run for our client, has been open since December in a better location on the main street, but the street sign was just put up two weeks ago. Being in the retail world, I think it hit the impact of the store hard. Being that our client is a non-profit, funds are limited and we have to work with what we can. I’ve been trying my best to hold true to my promise and prioritize my health and fitness so I could report back to you proud and excited. But with the stress of the store, I’ve slacked off some. How have you been doing? Did you stay on track? I hope so!

Yesterday morning was crazy madness trying to rush out the door as I didn’t get up as early as I wanted to.  Our dog Twinkie had two seizures in the wee hours of the morning which got me all messed up. If I wake up in the middle of the night, I’m usually up for an hour before falling back to sleep. The seizures started a month and a half ago and we took her to the vet and she was tested and put on medication. She has epilepsy. She seems to have once every week and only twice has she has two in one day that we know of. The medication is suppose to control them and the seizures never last longer than a minute. But otherwise, she’s a loveable, happy, playful chihuahua. 

I’ve decided to go back to basics and restart the RunDouble C2K5K app on my phone.  If you want to follow along, I downloaded “RunDouble Couch to 5K” and it’s a 9 week running program that eases you into running by alternating running and walking to build up your endurance.  Here’s what the app looks like…






  Songza is also my new music app obsession!  It’s kinda like Pandora (but with no commercials) but this is awesome.  It’s completely free and when you log in, the “Concierge” offers you playlist ideas based off the time and day.  Here’s a quick snapshot of what’s going on right now…


Of course I’m enjoying my morning coffee, and dancing in my chair as I’m writing this Sunday morning post!  Of course!

Alright, back to what I wanted to talk about…

I will be posting (at least) once in the morning to share my workout for the day, tips & tricks, breakfast ideas, etc, and then again in the evening to report back on the day and reveal our recent recipe. I need to do another grocery run before my next Challenge Group so with what’s left in my pantry, I need to be a little creative.

My Family and I have taken on a “21 Day Clean Eating Challenge to Summer”  starting May 4th and we will be motivating our plates BIG TIME to share new healthy recipes with you every day.  We get super complacent in the kitchen and we are more than happy eating the same few meals over and over again, but all that’s going to change.  We want to show you that eating healthy can be easy and fun!

Follow along (and join in) as we take over the kitchen and provide you with fast, simple, healthy, clean eating recipes to fit any diet’s needs.  Our goal is to show you that healthy eating doesn’t have to be hard, time consuming, expensive or boring.  Instead of sacrificing your favorite foods and constantly living in frustration, let’s healthify these meals and get them in your belly!  How does that sound?  

Alright, it’s time for me to log off and get exercising!  As promised, I will check in post-workout and let you know how it went.  Today, we are working our business and hunting for treasures. We’ll be doing a lot of walking around in a gated community of yard sales so we better get hopping. I’ll use “My Fitness Pal” app to keep track of my walking along with a extreme 30 minute pilates session to stretch out these muscles when we get back!
