Let’s talk about my new blog series: Healthy Eating and Living For Families. When planning our weekly family menu, I wanted to start introducing and sharing lighter meal ideas using healthier food choices that not only save time time the kitchen but are still healthy balanced meals that taste good and fit easily into our busy everyday lives. As I share these meal ideas with my family, I hope they will work for yours too.

There is a growing number of movement all across America where families are looking towards a more low-fat, healthy way of eating and living. It’s not another diet, It’s a way of life. A lifestyle. Simple, gradual changes in the choices that you and your family make can help control your weight and your family health forever. I’ll share how our family is applying the principles of Healthy Eating and Living in the kitchen.
Best of all, the majority of the recipes I’m making and sharing are really quite quick and easy. We’re a busy family and at times, don’t always have time to spend hours in the kiutchen, especially during the sumnmer. No matter how hectic our day or lives are, the meals and snacks you’ll find that I’m sharing are enjoyable. Here are some recipe ideas that I’ll be sharing on next week’s weekly meal plan and throughout the upcoming weekly meal plans:
Breakfast:
- Cinnamon Whole Grain Toast
- Individual Fruit Hotcakes
- Orange-Currant Scones
- Brown Rice Pudding with Fruit
- Mexican Eggs In Phyllo Cups
Lunch
- Light Caesar Salad
- Thai Cucumber Salad
- Spinach and Strawberry Salad
Dinner
- Southwest Turkey Meatloaf
- Greek Macaroni and Cheese
- Chicken Parmesan Strips
- Easy Black Beans
Don’t these dishes sound good? And to keep you ahead of the game, I’ll share my timesaving secrets through the upcoming weeks.
