Need ideas for your weekly meal plan? It’s time for another weekly menu.  I enjoy menu planning because of  the simplicity it provides for my life. It enables me to decrease my grocery shopping excursions to twice a month and it allows me to  have more free time to focus on my family and home.

For ideas in the weekly meal plan, we’ll be focusing on a variety of family meals. Some of the recipes you’ll find on my Recipe Index page with a grocery list included.

My Weekly Meal Plan

Last week, since it was spring break here, the kids spent a majority of the week playing outdoors enjoying the start of our beautiful Spring weather and playing with friends. We have a huge family surprise New Years vacation plan in the works so no major family getaways before then. Over the summer, we’ll sneak in a camping/fishing trip and have our yearly pool party get together with friends. We’ll be keeping it simple.

I finished up the weekly meal plan early yesterday morning before our Easter Egg hunt at home. I’ll be reviewing some last minute sales in the the weekly grocery store ads again before my shopping trip tomorrow and see what I can come up with for What’s In Season the early part of this month and share throughout the week.

My weekly meal plan and shopping list is completed and posted on our fridge:

Breakfasts

Will remain the same with some variety: Scrambled or Fried Eggs, Breakfast BurritosOatmeal PacketsGreen Smoothies, some type of muffins, Homemade Granola Bars, Cold Cereal.

Lunches

Are usually a bit more flexible, as often times we’ll simply have leftovers from a previous night’s meal, but if not, I always have ingredients on hand in the pantry for: Egg Salad Sandwiches, Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Peanut Butter and Jelly or regular sandwiches like Ham, Turkey and Cheese all served with fresh fruit and veggies.

In addition to our weekly menu, we have a baking day on a weekly basis. Every Sunday afternoon, we will rotate through restocking some nutritious snacks and baked goods, such as granola, protein bars, granola bars, muffins, and/or biscuits  for various meals.

Dinner (recipes will post throughout the week)

Sunday: Roasted Garlic and Rosemary Chicken, Potatoes and Carrrots, Homemade Bread Rolls

Monday: Pending… We are attending memorial services today and having a late lunch with family members so we’re not quite sure when we’ll arrive home.

Tuesday: Taco Tuesday

Wednesday: Breakfast For Dinner

Thursday: Pasta Night, Salad or Veggies, Drop Biscuits

Friday: Pizza Night! Homemade Pizza Dough with Homemade Pizza Sauce, Veggie Platter

Saturday: Chicken Pot Pie, Fruit Salad
