I’ve noticed lately a lot of my readers are looking for easy weeknight meals for their family. Slow Cooker meals are very comforting after a busy day of work, household chores and a school day. This meal comes together in a flash and can be ready by the time you get home.

Slow Cooker Baked Beans

Ingredients:

1 can kidney beans, rinsed and drained

1 can garbonzo beans, rinsed and drained

1 can pinto beans, rinsed and drained

1 cup chopped carrot

1 cup chopped onion

1 1/2 cups hamburger, cooked (optional or could use bacon)

1/4 cup maple syrup

1 Tablespoon cumin

1 Tablespoon chili powder

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker and cook for 6-8 hours. Serve with corn bread or rolls.
